[OFFICIAL] HUAWEI nova 3 Powered by Kirin 970, 3D Face Recognition Scanner & GPU Turbo

HUAWEI was supposed to unveil their latest nova-series phone on the 18th of July but they couldn’t keep the excitement to unveiled it through their official e-commerce in China, VMall.

Through VMall we have confirmed the new nova 3 will be powered by their flagship processor, Kirin 970 and paired with 6GB of RAM as well as 128GB onboard storage. This made the device be as powerful as their flagship phones like the P20-series and Mate 10-series.

GPU Turbo will also be made available out-of-the-box that would offer better and smoother gaming experience.


The nova 3 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 complete with a notch just like the P20-series. To keep this lights on is a 3,750 mAh battery that supports HUAWEI fast charging.

It also gets 3D Face Scanning similar to the OPPO Find X that shoot laser projection dot on to the face to have more secure and accurate scanning. The fingerprint scanner is still present and located on the rear case.

With the 3D capability, HUAWEI also includes their own Animoji where they called it 3D Qmoji.

Cameras wise are an AI dual rear camera that consists of a 24-megapixels plus a 16-megapixel rear camera. It able to recognize up to 20 scenes or objects and adjust the camera’s settings for better photo.

The HUAWEI nova 3 will be officially announced in China on the 18th of July. There gonna be three color options; Twilight Green, Coral Blue and a new Yellow Gold.
