honor Play was announced two months back is finally reaching to our shore. This is the first gaming phone by the company and also the first Kirin powered phone to feature GPU Turbo.

The GPU Turbo is HUAWEI & honor proprietary hardware-software integrated graphics processing acceleration technology. It gives an up to 60% graphics processing performance improvement and 30% power efficiency.

The honor Play buckled with HUAWEI’s flagship SoC, the Kirin 970, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage.

It sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ resolution with 19:9 screen ratio and a notch on top of the display to house a 16-megapixels selfie camera, earpiece speakers and some sensors.

On the back mounted a fingerprint scanner and dual rear camera system that consist of a 16-megapixels + 2-megapixels camera sensors. honor Play uses aluminum back case instead of glass for better heat dissipation which is a good move for a gaming phone.

The honor Play is priced at only RM 1,249, making it the most affordable Kirin 970 powered device. It will be available starting 10th of August 2018 and comes in two color options; Ultra Violet & Navy Blue.
