vivo announced their’s latest and closest to all-screen display smartphone, vivo NEX. It sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED Full HD+ pushing it to 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. The top and side bezels are at very minimum without a notch like others. But it does come with a small chin at the bottom.
Powering the device is top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or a more affordable variant Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.
vivo obtained Piezoelectric earpiece speaker that similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX, it generates vibration of an audio algorithm that selectively amplifies voice signals with proper wavelength and sends through the metal body.
Unlike others Tri-bezel-less smartphone like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and Maze Alpha, the front camera is not positioning it oddly at the bottom corner. Instead, it comes with a motorized pop-up front-facing, hiding an 8-megapixel f/2.0 aperture lens camera. You must be concerned about the built on the motorizing module, according to vivo its made out of stainless steel and has been tested to withstand over 50,000 pop-ups without any failure.
The rear camera is a 12-megapixels f/1.8 with OIS plus a secondary 5-megapixels f/2.4 that work as a depth sensor.
Just like its first vivo X21, the vivo NEX also get an in-screen display fingerprint sensor where you can unlock your phone by placing your thumb on the screen. This only available on the high variant vivo NEX, the Snapdragon 710 variant settle with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
vivo NEX packed with 4,000 mAh battery that supports fast-charging via USB Type-C. It also runs FunTouch OS 4 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
