There are more and more watermakers jumping on the smart wearable watches like the TAG Heuer Connected, Fossil Smartwatch and Breitling Exospace.
Nixon introduced an Android Wear smartwatch, Nixon Mission that touts a 10-ATM water resistance rating and Nixon claimed this is the highest rating for any smartwatch out there.
Nixon Mission is also the first Android Wear smartwatch that powered with Qualcomm’s new wearable SoC, the Snapdragon Wear 2100. Like conventional watches, it has a circular touch display and uses AMOLED technology. This screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass and the outer bezel is stainless steel around a polycarbonate and stainless steel shell with a silicone band.
From the material it uses, it can tell that this smartwatch is built for rugged and suitable for those who would wear it for outdoor activities.
The Nixon Mission smartwatch is expected to be priced at US$ 300 (about RM 960) and making its official debut at Baselworld before going on sale later this year.
