[MWC 2018] Nokia Announced 5 New Phones

At Mobile World Congress 2018, Nokia announced 5 new phones and 1 of it is a retro feature phone. 3 of the devices will be in the Android One family that bring updated security patches and speedy updates.

Nokia 8110 4G

The movie “Matrix” banana phone is making a comeback bring a 4G feature phone. It has this iconic curved slider design with numeric keypad beneath it. Although this is a feature phone, the Nokia 8110 support crystal-clear VoLTE, 4G Hotspot, Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, Google Assistant, Outlook and more. All these are powered by Qualcomm 205.

It comes with two colors options; Traditional Black & Banana Yellow. The Nokia 8110 will be available in May 2018 and retail price at €79 (about RM 380) excluding taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 1

The Nokia 1 comes with Android Oreo (Go Edition) that optimized for devices with 1GB of RAM. It designed to be smooth and responsive with full access to the Google Play Store and download app that optimized for Android Oreo (Go Edition)

It’s a budget-friendly smartphone that features vibrant colors; Warm Red and Dark Blue. The Nokia 1 will be retailing at US$ 85 (approx, RM 332) and will be available early April this year.

Nokia 6

The new Nokia 6 is a mid-range device that sports Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 and comes with either 3GB RAM/32GB Storage or 4GB RAM/64GB Storage. It offers enhanced Dual-Sight, ZEISS optics, USB Type-C fast charge and run pure Android Oreo.

Availability expected early April and comes in two colors; Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold. Pricing to be announced at later date.

Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus is powered by more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and mated with 4GB of RAM. It sports a tall big 6-inch Full HD+ display. To keep the lights on is a 3,800 mAh battery that promises up to 2-day battery life.

It features Dual-Sight, dual rear sensors with ZEISS optics combination of a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a secondary 13-megapixel camera that provide 2x optical zoom.

HDM plans to make the Nokia 7 Plus available in April for €399 (about RM 1,920) excluding taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 8 Sirocco 

Nokia 8 Sirocco is the flagship in the lineup. Almost 95% of the exterior built are made out of glass. It powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Display is a 5.5-inch pOLED display with QHD resolutions

It uses dual-camera system at the rear with a 12-megapixel ZEISS optics and a 5-megapixel wide angle front camera. With the switch to glass device, wireless charging is supported on the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available in April priced at €749 (about RM 3,605) excluding taxes and subsidies.
