Don’t get confused Meitu with Meizu brand of smartphone. Meitu is one of the early selfie smartphone introduced in China with high megapixel front-facing camera. Their first selfie smartphone from Meitu, Meitu V2 was introduced on March 2014 carrying 13-megapixel front and rear camera.
Two days ago, Meitu officially unveiled its new flagship with a jaw dropping 21 megapixel front facing as well on the rear camera, the Meitu V4. The Meitu V4 sport a 5-inch FHD AMOLED display and powered with MediaTek Helio X10, MTK6795 processor mated with 3GB of RAM.
A quick glance it has similarity design with Casio Exilim Selfie camera and added a premium touch leather-like material back of the smartphone.
It equipped with 64GB of internal storage with expandable microSD card slot. Pre-installed with MeiOS2.5 based on Android 5.1
It offered in white with rose gold, light turquoise and light pink. The Meitu V4 will be available in China starting 20th November and carrying price tag of RMB 3,499 which translated to RM 2,370 / US$ 540.
Meitu also introduce a lite version, Meitu M4s that has slightly smaller screen display at 4.7-inch HD, powered with MediaTek MTK6752 mated with 3GB of RAM.
The front and rear camera kept a 13 megapixels camera with a f/2.0 aperture. Meitu M4s is priced at RMB 2,399 (about RM 1,626)
