Intel Compute Stick Unveiled in Malaysia, RM599 for Windows Version & RM499 for Linux Version

Intel Compute Stick is a mini PC in a dongle form which quite similar to Android Box that you could find in the market. Basically it transform any TV or display device to workable PC as long it has HDMI connectivity.

Yesterday Intel has announced the availability of the Intel Compute for Malaysia market. It comes with two variants which are Windows 8.1 Bing version and Linux Ubuntu 14.04 version.

Both of the Compute Stick are powered with Quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F Processor and Intel HD Graphic , HDMI v1.4a, Integrate WiFi 802.11bgn, Bluetooth 4.0, Full-sized USB 2.0 and microSD card slot. The Windows version will get 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage whereby the Linux version will only get 1GB of RAM and 8GB of Storage.

The device are powered with 5V, 2A wall-mount Adaptor via microUSB port, I believe the dongle will be able to powered up with the USB port that provided on the TV itself.

The Intel Compute Windows version will be available now for RM599 where by the Linux version will be available next month for the price of RM499.
