According to the latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC) worldwide quarterly mobile phone tracker. There was a total of 355.2 million smartphone worldwide in just Q3’2015.
Samsung was on top of the global smartphone industry with 84.5 million mobile phone shipped and lead 23.8% market share. The Galaxy Core/Grand Prime, J-series were the majority of shipments that sub below US$200.
Second follows by Apple that shipped 48 million unit that captured 13.5% market share. The contribution was from the arrival of the new “S” models brings new Rose Gold color and also the older iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus that received a quite good price cuts across all models.
Third place was by Huawei, shipment of 26.5 millions and shown an impressive growth of 60.9% over last year. Huawei focused its mid-to-high range models like Honor 6 Plus and the Huawei P8. Huawei has been doing very well in it home country in China and also in Europe. They are also focus in the United States where they just recently launch the new Huawei-Nexus 6P smartphone.
Lenovo + Motorola was in top 4 and Xiaomi in top 5.
