The United States governments have granted a 90-days temporary license for operation, maintenance and support for existing full operational network and equipment after been banned by the US administration last weekend.

The bans uplift is valid till 19th August 2019. HUAWEI will get to provide service and support for smartphones (HUAWEI & HONOR) that released into the market on or before 16th May 2019.

HUAWEI also has released a statement yesterday to address the existing HUAWEI and HONOR smartphones users;

HUAWEI has made substantial contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world. As one of Android’s key global partners, we have worked closely with their open-source platform to develop an ecosystem that has benefitted both users and the industry.

HUAWEI will continue to provide security updates and after sales services to all existing HUAWEI and HONOR smartphone and tablet products covering those have been sold or still in stock globally.

We will continue to build a safe and sustainable software ecosystem, in order to provide the best experience for all users globally.

Google has guaranteed that all the existing HUAWEI/HONOR devices will continue to get access to the Google Play Store, Google Services and security patches update.

We are not sure what’s gonna happens with the new smartphones that HUAWEI/HONOR has in the line-up. HONOR will be unveiling their latest flagship smartphone, HONOR 20 and we may get some info what’s their next step.
