HUAWEI Malaysia today announced the launch of its new generation foldable flagship smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 in Malaysia.

It will be available in two colorways with a different leather patterns; Black with crosshatch leather texture and White, with natural leather texture.

The HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 is a thin and light foldable device with only 255g of weight and a thickness of 5.4mm only. HUAWEI uses 3D Fibreglass Design to combine aesthetics of colors and textures and provide excellent strength and fracture toughness.

Featured with HUAWEI’s developed new generation New Falcon Wing Design which gives the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 an ultra-flat form factor for a foldable smartphone.

The HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 even adopts both an industry-first Composite Screen and high-performance materials, making it an excellent shock absorber and buffer. This shock barrier improves the phone’s resistance to drops, crushing, or impacts while further enhancing the durability and reliability of the device. This is thanks to its unique screen structure, the phone has taken great strides forwards from its previous generation.

Equipped with a 7.8-inch 2,200 x 2,480 resolution OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that folds outward. Once it’s folded, it gets a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover display.

Under the hood is Qualcomm last year’s flagship chip, the Snapdragon 888 with a 4G modem. Paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It gets Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side, and USB 3.1.

Photography-wise, a 50-megapixels f/1.8 main camera, an 8-megapixels 3x optical zoom with OIS, and a 13-megapixels f/2.2 ultrawide. Keeping the lights on is a 4,600 mAh battery that supports HUAWEI 66W SuperCharge.

Worth noting that the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 will be running on its own HarmonyOS 2.0 with HUAWEI Mobile Services.

The HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 will be available for pre-order at RM 7,999 starting from 3rd June 2022 to 23rd June 2022 with exclusive free gifts including a HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro and HUAWEI Mobile Services total worth up to RM 1,400.

It will be available on HUAWEI Official E-Store, HUAWEI Experience Stores, and participating HUAWEI Partners Stores such as the HUAWEI Flagship store on Lazada, and Shopee.
