Back to the GMS uncertainty, the ongoing trade war between the US and China forced the company to use AOSP without Google Mobile Services. That means no Google service available natively including Google Play Store, YouTube, Maps, Gmail and all related Google Services app. Despite, sideloading is common but this is a totally different case as the all-new phones from HUAWEI or even HONOR are not getting GMSCore in the bootloader. Meaning even if you able to install YouTube or Maps, it will not runs as it will recognized the device is not Google compatible.

Thus Mr. Richard Yu, said that they can only use HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) and they are spending US$ 1 billion to fund the development of its own HMS to workaround the missing GMSCore.

Although the company is still releasing the Mate30-series and also have the prices for the Europe countries. Looks like the company is yet to give up and may have positive news soon for the Mate30-series.
