Huawei rumored developed a new system on chip, home brewed Kirin 950. The new chip rumor to be shaped on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process and the chipset runs on 64-bit octa-core. The first set of quad-core will running on Cortex-A72 at a clock speed of 2.4GHz.

Info from Geekbench, rumored Kirin able to score 1,909 points on single-core test and 6,096 points on multi-core test. On another hand, Exynos 7420 is only scoring 1,486 points on single-core test and 4,970 points on multi-core test.

Still this comparison is not valid as the Kirin 950 is yet available for the mass market. This is just to tell what’s next SoC Huawei may be coming out for its new devices. Maybe on the upcoming Nexus based on Huawei device?
