HTC Announced One A9, It’s An iPhone That Run On Android 6.0 Marshmallow

HTC just announced its first mid range smartphone that run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of box, HTC One A9.

The HTC One A9 is designed just like it One series signature aluminum unibody looks. It has protruding camera module, circular two-tone flash and pair of antenna lines make it resembling the middle child between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The One A9 sport a 5-inch FHD display and powered with Qualcomm new mid range SoC, Snapdragon 617 (64-bit Octa-core; 4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz). It comes with two variants in differences 2GB of RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB of RAM + 32GB ROM.

It get fingerprint scanner integrated into the new home button that not press-able like the OnePlus Two.

One A9 is packed with a rather small battery of 2,150mAh, luckily the Android 6.0’s Doze feature help the One A9 to last for a reasonable length of time. The phone is compatible with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 and support the upcoming Quick Charge 3.0 when it’s available.

On the multimedia departments, the HTC One A9 paired with a new 13 megapixel sensor with f/2.0 lens protected with sapphire glass and an Optical Image Stabilization. The front camera get UltraPixel camera that featured on the front of the HTC M9 that give excellent selfie photos taking.

HTC One A9 supports high-resolution audio and Dolby Surround Sound for headphone where it built in a DAC that upscales 16-bit audio to 24-bit.

There are no price indication and availability date of the HTC One A9 reaching to Malaysia but HTC is pricing the unlocked A9, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage at US$ 399.99 (translate to about RM 1,760)
