HONOR launched its first smartphone which no longer under HUAWEI subsidiary company, the HONOR V40.

It may no longer be related to HUAWEI anymore, but the design language of the new HONOR V40 does look resembling with the HUAWEI Mate40 Pro. The 6.72-inch OLED extreme dual curvature display with 120Hz refresh rate, power button and volume rocker position, as well as the pill shaped notch on the display top left corner.

Internally are different story where the HONOR V40 now powered by 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB UFS storage.

Camera-wise; it has a 50-megapixels f/1.9 with 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor primary camera, an 8-megapixels ultrawide angle and a 2-megapixels macro lens.
The HONOR V40 is packed with 4,000 mAh battery and supports 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. There are two configurations; 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, priced at RMB 3,599 (~RM 2,248) and RMB 3,999 (~RM 2,497) respectively.
Will HONOR V40 get Google Mobile Services when it rebadges as HONOR View V40 for Global market? This is still uncertain despite HONOR brand was recently sold off to the consortium, Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology to help HONOR’s channel and supplier to make it through during the tough time of US Government business restriction on HUAWEI and affiliate companies. We shall get more info on this when it’s the time is near for global launch of this smartphone.
