HONOR has just unveiled its new foldable smartphone that has a very similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.

HONOR Magic Vs

The HONOR Magic Vs will be the first foldable flagship from HONOR to release in the overseas market and Malaysia could be one on the list.

The HONOR Magic Vs sports a 6.45-inch 120Hz Cover Display for use while the device is folded and unfolded you will get a large 7.9-inch 90Hz main display. The external display is able to output up to 1,200 nits peak brightness while the inner 800 nits. The HONOR Magic Vs get stylus support, similar to the S Pen that we’ve seen with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4

Underneath the display is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for the Ultimate variant and the vanilla has the non-Plus SoC.

Coming to photography, the triple rear camera setup consists of a 54-megapixels main camera, a 50-megapixels ultrawide that doubles as a macro camera, and an 8-megapixels telephoto with a 3x optical zoom. As for the selfie, it is equipped with a 16-megapixels f/2.45 camera.

Although it is packed with a 5,000 mAh battery, the phone weighs just shy of 261 grams and is 12.9 mm thick when folded. Features a 66W wired HONOR SuperCharge but lacks wireless charging.

The HONOR Magic Vs will be running on MagicOS 7.0 based on Android 12 and it would have Google Mobile Services (GMS) for the international market which is expected to release early next year.

In China, there are 3 configurations for the standard HONOR Magic Vs, 8GB+256GB (RMB 7,499/MYR 4,786), 12GB+256GB (RMB 7,999/MYR 5,105), and 12GB+512GB (RMB 8,999/MYR 5,744). As for the HONOR Magic Vs Ultimate with 16GB+512GB, it will go for RMB 10,999/MYR 7,020. This would be an interesting price positioning comparing it to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G which starts from MYR 6,799.
