HONOR 30S 5G Announced – Kirin 820, 64MP Quad-camera & Priced sub-RM 1,500

HONOR has just announced its upper mid-range device, HONOR 30S 5G. If this device made globally, this would be one of the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone competing head-to-head with the recent announced Mi 10 Lite 5G.

The HONOR 30S is powered by HUAWEI’s latest Kirin 800-series with dual-mode 5G connectivity, Kirin 820 5G. It coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage options; 128GB and 256GB.

It sports a 6.5-inch LTPS LCD display with a hole punch on the top left. The display is a Full HD+ resolution with HDR10 certification.

Camera-wise; 64-megapixels f1.8 aperture coupled with an 8-megapixels f/2.4 telephoto with 3x optical zoom or up to 20x digital zoom, an 8-megapixels ultra-wide-angle and a dedicated 2-megapixels macro lens. The front selfie camera is a 16-megapixels f/2.0 A.I. camera.

The HONOR 30S is available now in China with the starting price of RMB 2,399 (~MYR 1,463) and RMB 2,699 (~MYR 1,646) for 128GB and 256GB variants.
