HMD Global Nokia has just launched Nokia XR20 which the company claimed to be the military-grade smartphone designed and the most durable phone it’s created to date.

As expected, rugged or military-grade smartphones normally get a pretty basic internal instead focus more on protection. According to HMD Global, the Nokia XR20 can be submerged in water for up to an hour and endure extreme temperatures. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus display that can resist damage from scratches and drops from about 6 feet.

Under the hood, the Nokia XR20 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 with 5G integrated, a 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution display, a 4,630mAh battery with Qi wireless charging supports. Equipped with a dual rear camera setup; a 48-megapixels main camera and a 13-megapixels ultrawide.
Nokia HMD also promised 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security software updates.
It’s not cheap compared to regular smartphones nor expensive for a mainstream rugged device. The Nokia XR20 currently will be available in the US and UK with starting price of £399 (~RM 2,332) for the 4GB+64GB variant, while the 6GB+128GB will retail at £449 (~RM 2,625)
