Pop-up camera technology doesn’t only make available for vivo NEX / V-series smartphone. OPPO has adopted this new technology to have a notch-less display for more immersive display experience. The OPPO F11 Pro is the first device from the company to have it.
We have done a quick hands-on of the device where you can watch it here;
Here’s our first impression of the device.
Let’s learn more about the specification of the OPPO F11 Pro. Under the hood of the device is MediaTek’s latest Helio P-series, Helio P70. It coupled with a generous 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The combination should be decent enough for most users including mobile gaming.
It sports a huge 6.53-inch IPS, 2,340 x 1,080 resolutions without any hole-punch/chin pollution on the display. Thus it has an immersive of almost 91% screen-to-body-ratio.
OPPO uses high gloss laminated plastic on the rear case and has a unique dual-tone colour gradient (on Aurora Green) and triple-tone colour gradient (on Thunder Black) giving it an impression of a premium glass-made.
In the hands, the curved back feels nice to hold and doesn’t feel very huge despite it having a huge 6.53-inch display. This is thanks to the narrow bezels and small footprint design.
The 16-megapixels pop-up camera is position right in the centre of the phone and uses a transparent cover made it look smaller. The face unlock is pretty fast and accurate even at the low light environment.
It sports dual-rear camera positioned symmetrically in the middle along with the physical fingerprint scanner. The camera setup consists of a 48-megapixels f/1.79 aperture lens and a 5-megapixels depth sensor.
Similar to the vivo V15-series, the OPPO F11 Pro use the old-gen microUSB port as charging but it gets OPPO’s propriety VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 that get 20W power output. Juicing the device is 4,000 mAh battery which is considered big as for current standard. It runs on the latest ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The OPPO F11 Pro will be going on sale in Malaysia on 19th March 2019 and the official price will be announced on the day. The device will be facing very fierce competition in the mid-range segment includes the vivo V15, Redmi Note 7, Galaxy A50 and nova 4e. If the price is right, I’m sure it will be a sellable smartphone that offers a large edge-to-edge display without a hole-punch/notch and have a cool motorized pop-up camera.
