Black Shark the sub-company of Xiaomi has released its third gaming smartphone.

As you all expected from a 2020’s new flagship smartphone. The Black Shark 3 series will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G processor and high speed fast charging. This year, Black Shark released two; Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro.

The only differences between the two are the screen size and battery capacity. The Black Shark 3 touts a 6.67-inch Full HD+ resolution OLED display and backed with 4,720 mAh battery whereas the “Pro” variant sports a 7.1-inch QHD+ (3,120 x 1,440) OLED display and packed with 5,000 mAh battery. The OLED display features 90Hz refresh rate, 270 Hz touch sampling rate for more responsive gameplay. It even has a dedicated MEMC chip for interpolating content to 90fps.

It mated with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 onboard storage. As a gaming-focused smartphone, the duo features four pressure-sensitive zones on the screen that offer additional inputs in games and the Black Shark 3 Pro gets two physical shoulder button which they called Master Buttons. This is similar to the ASUS ROG phone series but instead of capacitive triggers but the physical buttons on the Black Shark 3 Pro gave better tactile feedback.

Camera-wise, 64-megapixels main camera, 13-megapixels ultra-wide and 5-megapixels depth sensor. The front camera is a 20-megapixels camera.

There’s a new 65W fast charging solution through USB Type-C and 16W charging via a proprietary magnetic charging port at the rear. The company claims, the device only takes 12 minutes to reach 50% and fully charged in 38 minutes.

The Black Shark 3 is already available in China starting today where the Black Shark 3 Pro will be available from 10th March onwards.
