ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today unveiled their new gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 6 series; which consists of the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro plus a collection of ROG Phone 6 accessories including the new AeroActive Cooler 6.

The duo is powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform based on a 4nm process, paired with up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. ASUS upgraded the cooling system to feature novel 360-degree CPU cooling technology which ASUS called it GameCool 6.

Sporting a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED HDR10+ display that uses exclusive ROG tuning technology to achieve 165Hz refresh rate and an industry-leading 720Hz touch-sampling rate and world-beating 23ms ultra-low touch latency.

The AirTrigger 6 has been significantly upgraded, the ultrasonic sensor fully supports various gestures, including new features such as Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming. The dual-speakers that fire forward features symmetrical seven-magnet for truly balanced stereo sound effects. The 3.5mm headphone is also present for convenience and lags free sound feedback.

Equipped with SONY IMX766 50-megapixels main camera, a 13-megapixels ultrawide, and a macro lens. There’s also a 12-megapixels front camera for selfies or video calls. Packed with a 6,000 mAh battery and supports 65W HyperCharge (adapter is included).

The ROG Phone 6 series support an extensive array of accessories to optimize the gameplay experience including the upgraded AeroActive Cooler, ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad for ROG Phone 6, ROG Phone 6 Glass Screen Protector, cases, and more.

The clip-on AeroActive Cooler 6 has an AI-powered thermoelectric cooler, and a fan that delivers increased cooling airflow directly to hotspots on the back cover of the ROG Phone 6. There are also adds four extra physical buttons to allow a genuine console-like control experience.

The main differences between the vanilla ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro mainly are the configuration it offers and the color ROG Vision mini display on the back that is found on the Pro variant.

The ROG Phone 6 will be available in Malaysia starting from August 2022 followed by ROG Phone 6 Pro somewhere in September 2022.
