ASUS ROG Phone 2 Announced – 6.59-inch 120Hz Display, Snapdragon 855+ & 6,000 mAh Battery

Last year ASUS ROG Phone was one of the most talkable gaming phone that what mobile gamers ever wanted. With the cool RGB, gaming accessories and powerful hardware. Today, ASUS has unveiled the second generation of its gaming phone, the ASUS ROG Phone 2.

The ASUS ROG Phone 2 now is bigger and more powerful. It sports a large 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and given the option to set to 60Hz and 90Hz for lower battery consumption. The display also supports HDR10+ and DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The bold design language is still there, the RGB ROG logo and cooling chamber heatsink on the rear. The fingerprint scanner now moved underneath the display. It also gets two vibration motors that would deliver much better haptic feedback when playing games.

ASUS ROG Phone 2 is the first device to powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ which slightly overclocked on its CPU and GPU. It mated up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage.

It has a dual rear camera; 48-megapixels main sensor and an ultra-wide 13-megapixels. The front camera is a 24-megapixels sensor.

The battery on the ROG Phone 2 has jacked up to 6,000 mAh and according to the official, the ROF Phone 2 can play up to 7 hours with the display set at 60Hz. The battery also supports ROG HyperCharge at 30W.

There are few accessories that support the bigger size ROG Phone 2; AeroActive Cooler II, Aero Case, TwinView Dock II and ROG Kunai Gamepad.
