This addition joins the existing all-black XS1000 and silver XS2000, broadening Kingston’s external SSD lineup. Weighing under 29 grams, these drives are highly portable, making them ideal for backups and expanding the storage of devices like the iPhone 15.
The XS1000 series offers read speeds up to 1,050MB/s and capacities up to 2TB, providing ample space for photos, videos, games, and other files. The drives come with a USB-C to USB-A cable and an additional adapter, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs, iPhones, and Android smartphones.
Earlier this year, the XS1000 won the 2024 Red Dot Award for Product Design, a prestigious honor that underscores the drive’s functional and aesthetic excellence. Kingston emphasized the new red color option as a way for users to express themselves and expand their digital storage with style.
