ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled the ROG Ally X, an enhanced version of its popular handheld game console designed for Windows 11 gaming on the go. Featuring the powerful AMD Ryzen™ Z1 Extreme processor, the ROG Ally X now includes upgraded storage, RAM, and battery life, alongside an improved chassis for better ergonomics, cooling, and connectivity.
The ROG Ally X comes with a 1 TB SSD, up from the original 512 GB, and features 24 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM, offering better performance for modern, high-resolution games. Its 80 Wh battery doubles the capacity of the previous model, allowing for extended gaming sessions while maintaining a lightweight design at just 678 grams.
The redesigned black chassis includes deeper handles, more ergonomic button and stick arrangements, and a slant to the triggers for easier pressing. The joysticks and D-Pad have been upgraded for durability and precision, respectively. Additionally, the ROG Ally X replaces the original XG Mobile port with two USB-C® ports, one of which is Thunderbolt™-compatible, enhancing connectivity options.
Enhanced cooling is achieved with new, smaller fans and an additional exhaust vent, improving airflow by 24% and keeping the touch screen up to 6°C cooler for comfortable long-term use. With Armoury Crate SE 1.5, the ROG Ally X offers a customizable game library and unified system updates, ensuring gamers can #playALLYourgames better than ever.
