HONOR has officially announced the launch of its new HONOR 400 Series in Malaysia, scheduled for 22nd May 2025. Since its local preview last week, the series has generated buzz across social media, largely thanks to its Next-Gen AI Imaging capabilities, led by the standout “AI Image to Video” feature developed in collaboration with Google Cloud AI. This innovation allows users to turn still photos into dynamic videos directly within their photo gallery, offering convenience and creative freedom without relying on third-party apps.
Positioned as the best AI camera phones in their price range, the HONOR 400 and 400 Pro come equipped with a 200MP Main Camera supported by a 1/1.4-inch super sensor, along with OIS and EIS for stable, high-resolution shots even in low light. The series also features a 12MP Macro and Wide camera, while the Pro model includes a 50MP AI Telephoto Camera with up to 50x digital zoom. On the front, a 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera delivers studio-quality results.
Beyond its camera hardware, the HONOR 400 Series stands out with a suite of powerful AI editing tools. These include AI Eraser 2.0 for removing reflections and passersby, AI Cutout for background editing, AI Outpainting to extend image boundaries, and AI Upscale to enhance old or blurry photos. Users can also create Moving Photo Collages and lifelike portraits with Harcourt Studio 2.0, featuring cinematic filters and optical-style background blur.
The AI Image to Video feature in particular has captured public attention, with HONOR showcasing emotionally powerful examples for Mother’s Day. In one video, a woman brings a childhood photo of her late mother to life using the HONOR 400 Pro. In another, a father comforts his daughter by animating a photo of her and her late grandmother, turning still images into heartfelt moments of connection.
