Motorola Razr – Foldable Phone That Done Right

Motorola Razr was one of the most iconic phones before the smartphone is a thing. The best selling flip phone that only the 80/90 know. Motorola has brought back the dead of Motorola Razr and made probably the best foldable display smartphone till date.

As per rumoured, the Motorola Razr is a clamshell smartphone that has two displays. The main 6.2-inch pOLED display can be folded to half with a resolution of 2,142 x 876 that translated into 21:9 aspect-ratio. The second display is a 2.7-inch gOLED with 4:4 display aspect-ratio.

Under the hood is not any 2019 specced instead a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage that can’t further expand. It packed with only 2,510 mAh battery that supports Motorola 15W TurboPower.

Camera-wise is a single 16-megapixels SONY IMX519 f/1.7 that can be used to take selfies with the secondary camera. There’s also a 5-megapixels front camera that uses for video calls.

Why we crown the Motorola Razr as the best foldable smartphone to date? I have watched a few hands-on videos of the device and noticed there’s no crease line on the display and the device is totally flat even it’s closed.

The Motorola Razr will be running on Android 9 Pie and Android 10 will be available soon after it officially launches next month in the US. The Motorola Razr will be sold at US$ 1,499 (~ MYR 6,240) and only come with 1 colour; Noir Black.
